26 noviembre i hate school laptops!!!! (there are other things :P)
absolutely HATE them, they are slow and completely unreliable and they are designed to die roughly 3 weeks before you have to hand them back....
so today im planning on handing it back (yes, 3 days late) and im copying all my files for james' hard disk until my other laptop is ready
and i totally didnt realise just how MANY files i had... i just looked at it in general as a groupd of files that took up roughly 22 GB.... it turns out them copying them is rather a challenge and i keep changing my mind on what i want to keep and what can go... i had to say good bye to mean girls, stick it, v for vedetta and center stage *tear*
so what else have i been up to... i had a karate comp yesterday, lost 3rd place in kata and then won sparring, i also won a demo fight, which was totally awesome cos the girl was a national fighter, so i guess that means my sparring isnt as rough as i thought it was
i've also been doing a whole lot of nothing, which is amazing given the amount of time i have, been trying to find a job but i havnt heard back from any one i applied to, right now im happy working at karate in the afternoons
and exams are finally over, which still hasnt sunk in, or maybe it has and im just not really caring, tho i really cant believe this whole lot of nothing is what i regularly did during my holidays!!! im going to venus bay next wednesday *YAY!!!* with friends and that will be pretty kick ass
there has also been one party since exams finished, ry's 18th!!!! it was a dress up and i wa greeted by a very enthusatic captin jack when i walked in.. whose ring ended up down my top... and then there was the whole awkward thing with luke *so sorry!!!!!*
some other interesting observstions:
12 noviembre is counting down a good idea??I have started counting down... my next exam, my last exam, parties, karate competitions, xmas, birthdays, laving dates... its all seeming so far away... which leads me to ask, is it really a good idea to count down everything... like on friday night at 10pm i'll start counting down till 5pm on sunday... and then at 10pm on sunday im counting down till wednesday... it really is a vicsious cycle... and its slowly driving me crazy because i have no idea what to do with the time in between exvents in my so boring life
i think i made it worse today by buying a 2008 diary...so now i can count down till my 3 days holiday in april... all 3 for them... *tear*
and those who have to spend all day with me know that right now im very pensive... which is so retarded during exam time...
iz xx 03 noviembre Finally It's StartedSo it started yesterday... and what an anticlimax it was, honestly, you'd think that the english exam would have been harder. Personally i thought that if you didnt finish then you clearly wrote to much or shouldnt be doing english, cos 3 hrs i more than enough time.
the Citizen Kane question (a "how" for Pt 1) was clearly diecting you to go through each charaters point fo view in order of importance and then come to the conclusion that kane's character is never/partly revealed
the Hamlet question about guilt and its' influence on behaviour was sooooo easy to write Pt 2 on, due to the nature of the question, it didnt mention a characters name so you can inerpret the question in a myrid of different ways and mostly be right
the issues thing was funny, and we are the best people the write about it due to being half way between the let loose generation and the cotton wool generation, tho im not sure if you had to analayse the picture, i've had reports from both camps. personally i didnt, but whatever, each to their own, and the POV wirting was fairly easy, as long as you didnt take on some really obscure persona... ie serial killer/mass murderer....
in other news, apperantly it's my sisters birthday today... who knew these things happened, i havent got her anything but im sure mum'll cover for me as per usual
and on to the more exciting stuff that happened yesterday
I went with James and his family to see whimsical trycical, a musical act that performs in the fringe festivals. it was held in a mansion in ivanhoe, absolutely STUNNING, seriously. completely restored at a price tag of around $20 million all up... something else for me to aspire to
the house is just se perfect, and the evening was amazing, even if all my clothes stayed on. i think we might be getting better at that whole control thing...
to all those who have exams... if you dont know it now, you aren't gona know it, so you may as well party... but good luck if you need it, otherwise im keeing the luck for myself
